On the morning of November 1, Duc Hoa District Police (Long An Province) said that the District Police Investigation Agency coordinated with functional forces to examine the scene and perform an autopsy on a 2-year-old boy found dead in a canal in the area.
Previously, at around 7:00 p.m. on October 31, residents of the Sa Ba area, near the Tam Duc charity home in Xuan Khanh 1 hamlet, Hoa Khanh Nam commune, Duc Hoa district, discovered the body of a baby boy floating on the water near a patch of grass next to the canal bank.
Upon receiving the information, Duc Hoa District Police quickly arrived at the scene to protect the scene and bring the victim’s body to shore. On the other hand, the District Police coordinated with Long An Provincial Police’s professional departments to conduct an autopsy and verify and investigate the cause of death.
People near the scene also came to identify the person but initially determined that he was not from this area.
Police are investigating the incident and verifying the identities of the victims and their relatives.
