Nghe An - The body of the Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Xa Luong commune (Tuong Duong district) was found in the Nam Mo river after many days of being missing.

On November 24, the leader of the Xa Luong Commune People's Committee said that after 3 days of searching, the body of Mr. L.B.P. - Chairman of the Commune Farmers' Association, was found on the Nam Mo River after floating. The location where the victim's body was found was about 100m from the scene where the motorbike and sandals were found.

After finding Mr. P's body, the authorities completed the necessary procedures and handed it over to his family for burial according to local customs.

Previously, on the afternoon of November 20, Xa Luong commune held a year-end election meeting but Mr. P. was absent. Commune officials called Mr. P. many times, but could not contact him.

At around 5:00 p.m. the same day, a commune official was traveling on Highway 7, passing through the Nam Mo River, when he discovered Mr. P's motorbike and sandals. The incident was immediately reported to the local authorities.

Upon receiving the news, hundreds of people from many forces organized a search for Mr. P. on the Nam Mo River and other suspected areas. However, it was not until November 23 that Mr. P.'s body was found on the river.

Xa Luong commune leaders said that Mr. P. has been the Chairman of the Commune Farmers' Association for about 7 years. In recent days, Mr. P. has been acting sad and quiet. The cause of the incident is still being clarified by the authorities.
