On the afternoon of February 14, Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 6 (Department 6, Traffic Police Department) said that it had drawn up a record and fined the female driver for reversing the car on the Nha Trang - Cam Lam Expressway.
Accordingly, Ms. T.T.N.T (37 years old, residing in Long Khanh City, Dong Nai) was fined 35 million VND and had 10 driving license points deducted according to Decree 168/2024 for the crime of "parking on the highway".
Previously, a 12-second clip recorded by a dashcam recording a scene of a car with a Dong Nai license plate reversing on this highway at 2:45 p.m. on February 4 went viral on social media. The police verified and invited the female driver to work.
Ms. T explained that because she was driving through the intersection at km52+200, where it turned onto National Highway 27B, she decided to reverse the car.
Ms. T also admitted that this behavior violated traffic laws and poses a potential risk of accidents.
