Bus driver fined for overtaking right on National Highway 3

Hanoi - A bus driver who overtook in violation of regulations on National Highway 3 was fined 5 million VND and deducted 2 points from his driver's license.

The police agency has just made a record to fine the bus driver for the act of overtaking the right side of another vehicle in cases where it is not allowed on National Highway 3, passing through Dong Anh commune.

According to the Traffic Police Department (Ministry of Public Security), Road Traffic Police Team No. 15 has just verified and handled a driver driving a bus with license plate 29B-0XX. 65 for illegally overtaking on National Highway 3, in Dong Anh commune, Hanoi.

Previously, through video images provided by people, functional agencies determined that at about 7:10 am on September 17, 2026, a bus with license plate 29B-0XX. 65 swerved to the right to overtake another car.

At this time, the road section has a small, narrow road surface, and overtaking must pose a potential risk of traffic unsafety.

After receiving the feedback, Road Traffic Police Team No. 15 sent a working group to verify and invited the driver to work.

At the police station, driver N.V.K. (born in 1973) admitted the violation.

Based on the verification results, functional forces made a record of administrative violation against driver N.V.K. This person was fined 5 million VND and deducted 2 points from his driver's license.

The police agency recommends that passenger transport business drivers and vehicle drivers in general strictly comply with regulations on traffic order and safety.

Violations detected through reflections from people or other sources of information will be verified and handled by functional agencies according to regulations.
