Ms. Do Thi Thuy Huong - Vice President of the Vietnam Supporting Industry Association - said that in the context of the current global economic integration, the localization rate is not as important as the technology content contributing to the value chain. Contributing to the high technology content in each new product is the profound meaning that Vietnam's supporting industry needs to aim for.
Currently, domestic supporting industry enterprises are also increasingly actively applying modern standards and management tools to production and manufacturing, in which, large economic groups operating in the fields of basic industry, materials, mechanical engineering such as Viettel, Vingroup, Truong Hai, Thanh Cong, Hoa Phat... have been formed and developed, creating a foundation for the supporting industry, helping Vietnamese enterprises participate in the global production network and value chain.
