The project to renovate and repair the Thai Nguyen Provincial Sports Stadium (Thai Nguyen City) has a total investment of nearly 40 billion VND. Construction started in December 2023, with the Thai Nguyen Provincial Project Management Board for Investment and Construction of Civil and Industrial Works as the investor. This is currently the largest sports stadium in Thai Nguyen province.
On November 12, according to the reporter, after nearly 1 year of implementation, up to now, the area items such as: main competition floor, grandstand, lighting system, ventilation and air conditioning system and outdoor auxiliary items have been completed, waiting for the official handover date.
Ms. Nguyen Yen Nhi (Trung Vuong ward, Thai Nguyen city) shared that when there was information about the sports stadium being repaired and now completed, she and many people in the area were very happy because there will be more space for sports activities.
"The completed sports stadium looks more spacious and airy than before. Especially the main field and the stands are all designed very professionally.
I hope the project will be a place for many quality sports tournaments, helping people have a place to entertain, thereby improving their spiritual life and the local sports movement," said Ms. Nhi.
Regularly participating in sports activities, Ms. Vu Phuong Thanh - a student at the University of Science, Thai Nguyen University - excitedly said: "We are looking forward to the upcoming sports events held here, no longer having to travel far to watch tournaments."
Speaking with reporters, Mr. Luong Dinh Hien - Deputy Director of Thai Nguyen Sports Stadium - confirmed that the repair and upgrade items inside the sports stadium have been completed and will be handed over in November 2024.
"Currently, the construction unit is cleaning and sanitizing the garden area outside the project. This is the final item of the renovation and repair project.
The renovation and repair of the sports hall is of great significance in helping to improve the effectiveness of training and organizing activities, contributing greatly to the development of local sports," the leader of the sports hall added.
