On February 7, at Sac Tu Tinh Quang communal house (Trieu Phong commune, Quang Tri province), the New Year's Eve Ceremony took place, combined with organizing a 0-dong market for people in difficult circumstances.
At the ceremony, Venerable Monks, monks and nuns and a large number of Buddhists from near and far solemnly performed the ritual of erecting the Neu tree to celebrate the New Year. The Neu tree was erected in front of the main gate of Sac Tu Tinh Quang Ancestral Temple, on the Neu tree was written the words "dharma exists forever, praying for human peace and prosperity", expressing the wish for national peace and prosperity, favorable weather, and peace for all living beings.
Immediately after the Neu pole erecting ceremony, the charity program "0-dong Fair" was organized with the message "Sharing love - Bringing Spring of compassion", to support and encourage difficult circumstances in the area and neighboring areas, thereby spreading the spirit of compassion in the community.
According to the organizers, 250 people in difficult circumstances were issued tickets to participate in the market. Each ticket allows people to choose 40 essential items, with a total value equivalent to about 1 million VND, and also receive an additional support of 300,000 VND in cash.
The recipients include lonely elderly people, Agent Orange victims, people with disabilities and households in difficult circumstances from neighboring communes in Quang Tri province.
The Thuong Neu ceremony and 0-dong market activities not only contribute to creating a warm and humane spring atmosphere but also show the spirit of solidarity and sharing in society, so that the new spring comes to everyone with peace and hope.
