Reporting to the delegation, the representative of Project Management Board 2 (Soc Trang province) said that the Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang Expressway Component 4 Project has 4 construction packages. Up to now, the total implementation value has reached 1,171.7 billion VND, reaching 14.5%, 9% behind the plan (the packages have reached from 11.8 - 20.28%).
Soc Trang Provincial People's Committee has handed over the documents of 6 sand mines to contractors to complete procedures according to regulations; confirmed 2 exploitation registrations for 2 contractors with reserves of over 1 million m³; extended 2 licensed sand mines for enterprises with reserves of over 5.4 million m³, exploitation capacity of 940,000 m³/year to serve the Project. As of November 17, 2024, 240,990 m³ of sand has been exploited to serve Component Project 4.
Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha acknowledged the efforts of Soc Trang province, investors and contractors in implementing the project; requested to overcome difficulties and speed up to complete the project on schedule as planned.
