Many parents let their children take long days off from school
As Lao Dong newspaper reported, in recent days, many parents with children studying at Hoa Binh Kindergarten (Van Lang commune, Thai Nguyen province) have been upset about abnormal signs of food cooked for students.
Accordingly, the incident originated on March 25, when Hoa Binh Kindergarten brought meat cooked for students out to grind because of a power outage.
Some parents have discovered that the meat has an unusual color, golden brown, so they are uneasy and worried.

PV's records on the afternoon of April 1st, although it was school closing time, the scene at Hoa Binh Kindergarten was still quiet. Scattered parents welcomed their children back after school.
Living right near Hoa Binh Kindergarten, Ms. Ngo Thi Thao (Pho Hich, Van Lang commune, Thai Nguyen province) said that parents let students take many days off, so it's very deserted.
From March 25th until now, it has been completely deserted. Discovering abnormal meat, everyone is very worried. There is no clear answer for parents, so everyone is uneasy, leaving their children at home," Ms. Thao said.
Ms. Vu Thi Nguyen (Dong Cau hamlet, Van Lang commune), who has a 5-year-old child at Hoa Binh Kindergarten, said that she is really uneasy and worried.
Many parents have left their children at home to wait for a definitive resolution. There is no clear answer, so no one is reassured to take their children to class.
From March 25th, students started to take leave from school, and in recent days, the number of parents who let their children take leave from school has increased. Taking leave for so long is also not okay, but there is no official conclusion yet, so I am very worried," Ms. Nguyen said.

It is known that on April 1st, the number of students coming to Hoa Binh Kindergarten decreased significantly, only 30/125 children, of which 28 stayed for semi-boarding meals.
Parents voluntarily send meat samples for testing
Also giving his child days off from school, Mr. Truong Van Quang (Trung Thanh hamlet, Van Lang commune) said that after detecting abnormal meat, the parents contributed 50,000 VND each to go for testing.
One day after sending the sample for testing, the parents' association received results showing that 2 samples were positive for E. coli bacteria and African swine fever virus.
Everyone is really worried and insecure. We hope functional agencies will intervene to clarify, especially the results of the sample and the sample preservation procedures of the school," Mr. Quang said.

Also according to Mr. Quang, at the time parents brought samples for testing, the school also did the same. While the parents' samples had results, the school has not yet had them. When there is no clear answer, everyone is very worried.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Khoai - Principal of Hoa Binh Kindergarten, immediately after receiving feedback from parents, on the 25th, 3 units proactively stopped using pork in semi-boarding meals.
At the same time, related food samples have been sent for testing. However, so far there have been no results.
