On the evening of June 4, the leader of the Phu Yen Provincial Department of Health said that he had directed the relevant agencies to inspect and verify the case of many diners suspected of being poisoned after eating snail buffet at P.D.V restaurant, branch 3 on Hung Vuong Street (Ward 7, Tuy Hoa City).
"Currently, the patients are stable. The authorities have inspected, taken samples and temporarily closed this restaurant," said the leader of the Department of Health.

On the same day, the Food Safety Department (Ministry of Health) requested the Department of Health of Phu Yen province to urgently investigate and trace the origin of food related to the suspected food poisoning case that occurred at a buffet restaurant in Tuy Hoa city.
Previously, the Department received information about 7 people having to be hospitalized for emergency care after eating buffet at a restaurant in Tuy Hoa. The patients showed symptoms of abdominal pain, vomiting, and diarrhea.
In order to prevent the risk of spreading and protect public health, the Department requires local health agencies to urgently direct the hospital where the patient is being treated to focus resources on active treatment, not to affect people's health and lives.
Organize investigation, trace the origin of food, clarify the source of ingredients suspected of causing poisoning; collect samples of food and diseases for testing to find the cause; temporarily suspend processing facilities suspected of causing poisoning; strictly handle violations (if any) and publicize investigation results to warn the community.
As Lao Dong reported, after watching Tiktoker's video review with account T.D.P.Y, on the evening of June 2, many diners in Dong Hoa town (Phu Yen) came to eat snail buffet at P.D.V restaurant, for 140,000 VND/person, including drinking water.
After the meal, the 7 people had symptoms of vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain and had to be hospitalized for treatment.
