On June 2, Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee coordinated with Military Region 1 to launch the "100-day-night peak campaign" to complete the construction of 11 inter-level boarding schools in border communes, serving the 2026 - 2027 school year.
At the ceremony, Military Region 1 handed over 440 officers and soldiers participating in supporting the construction of school projects in the province. This is an activity to implement the Politburo's policy on investing in building schools in border communes.
Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee Le Hai Hoa emphasized that the construction of schools in border areas is an important political task, requiring construction units to mobilize maximum manpower and equipment, accelerate progress while still ensuring quality and labor safety.
On the same day, Lieutenant General Truong Manh Dung - Commander of Military Region 1 visited and encouraged the military forces participating in the construction of the Dong Dang - Tra Linh expressway project.
Currently, Military Region 1 has mobilized about 620 officers and soldiers to support the project, of which more than 400 people are directly constructing on the expressway construction site.
According to the leaders of Military Region 1, participating in the construction of key projects contributes to promoting the role of the armed forces in socio-economic development, consolidating national defense and security, and improving the lives of people in border areas.
