Quang Nam officially inaugurated 2 key bridges with a total investment of nearly 1,000 billion VND.

On the morning of March 23, many people from Quang Nam flocked to Duy Tan commune (Duy Xuyen district) to witness the historic moment, the technical opening ceremony of Song Thu bridge and An Binh bridge.

These two key bridges belong to traffic projects connecting National Highway 14H, DT609C and National Highway 14B, promising to completely change the appearance of regional traffic.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Thuong - Director of the Quang Nam Provincial Investment and Construction Project Management Board, for generations, the Northwest of Quang Nam has been cut off by the Vu Gia and Thu Bon rivers, causing people to depend on dangerous ferries, traffic jams, and socio-economic problems.

Now, with a total investment of nearly 1,000 billion VND, the inter-regional road project focusing on the two bridges Song Thu and An Binh not only helps people escape the potential risky ferry situation, but also opens up new development opportunities, smoothly connecting between regions, creating a premise to attract investment.

The Song Thu Bridge is 669m long, spanning the Thu Bon River, with a prestressed reinforced concrete structure; the An Binh Bridge is 1,060m long, spanning the Vu Gia River, also built with durable reinforced concrete. The approach roads and road surfaces of both bridges are 9m wide, ensuring smooth traffic with a lighting system installed synchronously on the entire route.

The project was started in the midst of the complicated COVID-19 pandemic, combined with the shortage of construction materials, but thanks to the strong direction of the provincial leaders and the consensus of the people, the construction units have completed the project on schedule, ensuring quality and safety.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Nam Hung affirmed: "The two bridges are not only simple traffic projects but also symbols of solidarity, determination and development aspirations of Quang Nam. We believe that, with an increasingly synchronous infrastructure system, Quang Nam will attract more investors, promote the socio-economy and improve the quality of life for people."

This is also a meaningful project to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Quang Nam province (March 24, 1975 - March 24, 2025) and the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Provincial Party Committee (March 28, 1930 - March 28, 2025).
