On July 7, Quang Ngai Provincial Police awarded certificates of merit to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in fighting the case, arresting subjects illegally transporting and storing explosives with a volume of up to tons.
On behalf of the Provincial Police Director, Colonel Vo Van Duong - Deputy Director of the Provincial Police Department awarded certificates of merit to 2 groups and 10 individuals for their outstanding achievements in fighting the case, arresting subjects illegally transporting and storing explosives.
Previously, on the evening of July 8, 2025, on the North - South Van Tuong route in Van Tuong commune, Quang Ngai province, Quang Ngai Provincial Police caught Truong Thi Be (born in 1979) and Pham Thanh An (born in 2002, both residing in Dong Son commune) red-handed while illegally transporting and trading explosives.
At the scene, 2 sacks containing 90 kg of explosives were temporarily detained. Urgently searching the suspect's residences, the authorities continued to discover and temporarily detained 1,306 kg of explosives and 3,895 detonators. The above subjects specialize in buying, selling, and storing explosives to provide to subjects illegally exploiting seafood at sea.
This is an outstanding achievement of the Quang Ngai Provincial Police, contributing to protecting national security, maintaining social order and safety, and preventing illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU fishing) in Quang Ngai province.
