On December 13, the Standing Committee of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee held a meeting to listen to reports on the preparation of the groundbreaking ceremony and inauguration of projects and works to celebrate the 14th National Congress of the Party, along with many other important contents.
According to the report of the Party Committee of the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province, on December 19, the province plans to start 26 projects with a total investment of about VND 383,000 billion, and inaugurate 5 projects with a total investment of nearly VND 7,000 billion.
The projects are implemented in many key areas such as transport infrastructure, industry, energy, social housing, education, healthcare and trade - services.
Based on the list of projects, the Provincial People's Committee's Party Committee has directed relevant departments, branches and localities to focus on speeding up the construction progress of projects expected to be inaugurated; at the same time, fully completing investment preparation procedures, ensuring conditions for starting construction in accordance with the set plan.
Notably, among the projects underway are many very large-scale projects, with a total investment of up to tens of billions of USD. A typical example is the Ha Long Xanh Complex Urban Area Project with a total investment of nearly 18 billion USD, on an area of over 4,100 hectares, implemented in Tuan Chau and Ha An wards.
The Quang Ninh LNG Power Plant project in Cua Ong ward has a total investment of over 2.2 billion USD.
Some other projects include: High-end complex tourism service complex in Van Don Special Zone invested by Sun Group, with a total capital of over 2 billion USD; High-end resort and entertainment complex project, Monbay Van Don golf course and residential area, with a total investment of nearly 1 billion USD.
In addition to large-scale projects, this groundbreaking period also includes many key transport infrastructure projects, which play a role in promoting regional linkages and socio-economic development of the province. Specifically, the coastal road project in the Northwest of Cua Luc Bay (8.3km long), with an investment capital of about 2,525 billion VND; the coastal road project extending from Tran Quoc Nghien to Cau Bang (7.4km long), with an investment capital of about 2,590 billion VND
The project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 4B (22.9km long), with an investment capital of about VND1,800 billion; the road project through Song Khoai Industrial Park connecting Ha Long - Hai Phong Expressway to Dong Trieu (6.5km long), with a total investment of about VND1,239 billion. These projects all use state budget capital.
In this period, the province will also start many other key projects in healthcare, education, and social housing.
