On the afternoon of June 10, Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee held a conference to summarize the peak period of implementing Official Dispatch No. 38/CD-TTg dated May 5, 2026 of the Prime Minister on focusing on directing the drastic implementation of solutions to fight, prevent, and handle acts of intellectual property rights infringement.
According to the report at the conference, from May 5 to June 5, 2026, Quang Ninh province mobilized the synchronous involvement of departments, branches, and localities in implementing the peak period. As a result, some targets achieved positive results, exceeding the set requirements.
Functional forces in the province have discovered and handled 65 cases with 65 violators. Among them, 61 cases were administratively handled, 1 case was prosecuted criminally; 3 cases with signs of intellectual property rights infringement are awaiting expert conclusions.
The main violations are related to industrial property rights infringement of famous trademarks; copyright infringement, related rights and copyright infringement of computer programs.
Concluding the conference, Mr. Bui Van Khang - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee - emphasized that protecting and enforcing intellectual property rights is a key, regular, and long-term task.
This is a solution that contributes to protecting the legitimate rights and interests of businesses and consumers, while building a transparent and healthy investment and business environment.
The Police force continues to take the lead in fighting, investigating, and strictly handling cases with signs of crime; promptly prosecuting cases that meet the conditions to improve deterrence and prevent violations.
Focus on dismantling large-scale lines of production and trading of counterfeit goods, goods counterfeiting trademarks and geographical indications; strictly control the transportation of counterfeit goods and goods infringing intellectual property rights across borders.
Regarding the field of culture, the Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee requested to strengthen inspection of compliance with regulations on copyright of computer software, movies, music, television programs and electronic games in the online environment; strictly handle violations according to regulations.
