According to the Quang Ninh Department of Agriculture and Environment, the violations include: 3 cases of not having environmental procedures but putting the project into operation; 1 case of operating the environmental monitoring system not in accordance with technical procedures; 1 case of operating the wastewater treatment system not in accordance with regulations.
Functional agencies also handled 2 cases of discharging wastewater with parameters exceeding the permitted limit and 1 case of not performing trial operation of waste treatment works according to regulations.
In addition to penalties, the Quang Ninh Department of Agriculture and Environment is urging and guiding departments, branches, localities, production and business units to strictly implement the provisions of the 2020 Law on Environmental Protection; effectively implement the collection, transportation, and treatment of domestic solid waste; strengthen air environmental protection and treat according to regulations for establishments causing environmental pollution.
