On March 17, the Hai Lang District Party Committee (Quang Tri Province) confirmed that it had disciplined two leaders of the Hai Truong Commune People's Committee, Mr. Truong Minh Dong - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Hai Truong Commune People's Committee and Mr. Truong Quang Minh - Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Commune People's Committee.
Previously, the Inspection Committee of Hai Lang District Party Committee concluded that Mr. Truong Minh Dong had failed to inspect and supervise during his tenure, leading to violations in confirming the origin, time, and process of land use. This leads to the payment of compensation and support for site clearance in violation of regulations.
In addition, Mr. Dong also laxly managed public land funds (5%), confirming the wrong origin and time of land use causing serious consequences.
In response to the above violations, the Inspection Committee of the District Party Committee has proposed that the Standing Committee of the Hai Lang District Party Committee consider and decide on disciplinary measures according to its authority.
After consideration, the Standing Committee of Hai Lang District Party Committee decided to remove Mr. Truong Minh Dong from the position of Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee for the 2020 - 2025 term.
Regarding Mr. Truong Quang Minh, although he clearly knew the violation in confirming the origin, time, and process of land use, he did not advise on handling according to regulations. During the performance of his duties, Mr. Minh mobilized the implementation of rights and obligations in violation of legal regulations, causing serious consequences.
For these violations, Mr. Truong Quang Minh was disciplined with a warning.
Hai Lang District Party Committee has also transferred the case file to the police for investigation and clarification.
