Information from Southern Power Corporation (EVNSPC) on August 29 said that in order to ensure safe and stable power supply during the National Day holiday of September 2, EVNSPC has prepared plans, including organizing nearly 5,000 shifts to ensure electricity in 8 southern provinces and cities.
At the meeting to review the preparation for power supply during the National Day 2/9 holiday on the morning of August 28, General Director of EVNSPC Nguyen Phuoc Duc requested Electricity Companies and member units to coordinate with the Southern Power Dispatch Center to be ready to implement plans to ensure absolute safe and stable power supply to serve activities during the National Day 2/9 holiday and to effectively implement fire and explosion prevention during the holidays.

General Director of EVNSPC Nguyen Phuoc Duc especially reminded the unit to proactively work with the People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities to clearly grasp the time and location of events, ensure stable power supply and ensure good business and customer service performance during the holiday activities.
Previously, to prepare for power supply for the September 2nd National Day, EVNSPC developed a plan to ensure electricity for activities to celebrate the August Revolution and September 2nd National Day.
Specifically, EVNSPC requests electricity units in the area not to perform tasks that must stop or reduce power supply causing power outages to customers during the National Day holiday of 2026 (from 0:00 on August 29, 2026 to 24:00 on September 2, 2026), except for incident handling.

Arrange reasonable power source and grid operation methods to ensure safety and reliability in normal conditions and flexibly switch in incident situations; prioritize ensuring electricity at locations where political, cultural, and entertainment activities of localities take place on the occasion of National Day September 2nd; implement the re-establishing of shifts at 110kV and 220kV substations to ensure absolute safe power supply for important areas.
Strengthen inspection, detection and timely handling of defects in power supply equipment, power grids, clear corridors to ensure the safety of power lines to prevent the risk of incidents, unsafe locations of short circuits causing fire and explosion.
Specifically for ensuring safety, occupational hygiene and fire and explosion prevention, units maintain safety conditions at production sites, construction sites, and factories; consolidate and maintain duty and protection regimes, especially at night, outside working hours, to detect and promptly handle incidents and fires right from the time they arise.
