Prolonged heavy rain after the circulation of storm No. 11 caused severe damage to Lang Son province.
Notably, National Highway 1A - the main traffic route of the province - is still deeply flooded, making it very difficult for vehicles to move.
On the morning of October 9, at Dong Tan intersection, Lao Dong reporter recorded that the water level on National Highway 1A was still nearly 1m deep.

Talking to reporters, the leader of Tung Dien Traffic Police Station, Traffic Police Department of Lang Son Provincial Police said: "Currently, on National Highway 1, there are three deeply flooded spots, respectively at Km82, Km84 and Km93."
According to the authorities, cars can now temporarily move through the Bac Giang - Lang Son expressway.
For motorbikes, people can walk through flooded areas or go around inner-city roads of the old Met town.
Amidst the flooding scene, the image of many tractor-trailers carrying more than a dozen motorbikes through deep water has attracted the attention of many people.


Mr. Duong Van Thinh, the driver pulling the Hanoi - Huu Nghi border gate route, shared with reporters: "This morning, when passing National Highway 1A, I saw many motorbike riders waiting because they could not get through the flooded area, I immediately suggested that people get the motorbike onto a trailer to carry through the deep water."
According to local residents, Mr. Thinh volunteered to transport his motorbike through three consecutive flooded spots with a total length of more than 11km.
"I'm just a convenience. In the midst of the flood, whoever can help, help," the driver laughed gently.

At Km81 on National Highway 1A, through Ngoc Thanh village (Huu Lung commune), the road surface has turned into a vast sea of water, the traffic has to temporarily stop or turn around.
Mr. Nguyen Van Ha, owner of Vinh Ngoc - Pho store located right on the roadside, also volunteered to support passersby, guiding through dangerous deep water sections.
According to the report of the Provincial People's Committee, heavy rain that has lasted for many days has injured 2 people, and affected more than 3,000 households due to house collapse, landslides, and flooding. The communes of Yen Binh, Van Nham, Huu Lung, Tuan Son, Cai Kinh, That Khe, Trang Dinh, Quoc Viet... are areas that are deeply flooded, cutting off traffic.
The whole province had more than 1,000 hectares of crops flooded, 80 hectares of fruit trees and 4 hectares of forest broken; 9 educational institutions damaged; 153 traffic points were flooded, with a total volume of landslides of more than 20,000 m3. Many bridges, culverts, and roads were cut off; some communes had power outages and interrupted communication.
