National Highway 51 seriously congested, Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee urgently directs

Dong Nai - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee proposed that the construction and repair of National Highway 51 prioritize construction at night, during off-peak hours, to prevent prolonged congestion.

On April 18, Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee just sent a document to the Provincial Police and the Department of Construction on overcoming traffic congestion caused by construction and repair on National Highway 51.

According to reports, the organization of barriers to repair damaged sections on National Highway 51 through the province has caused prolonged traffic congestion for many kilometers, seriously affecting the traffic of people and freight transport activities.

To promptly overcome the above situation, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Construction to urgently inspect the site, comprehensively assess the organization of construction, barriers, and traffic diversion on National Highway 51; arrange construction according to reasonable time frames (prioritizing construction at night, low hours), not allowing prolonged congestion to occur. Strengthen "3 shifts, 4 crews" construction, supplement machinery and equipment, minimize construction time, and soon complete the National Highway 51 repair project.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested to fully arrange the system of traffic signs, traffic lights, and traffic controllers according to regulations; narrow down the scope of barriers, construct thoroughly in each section, construct thoroughly to where, not deploy widely causing congestion.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested the Provincial Police to strengthen forces to regulate and divert traffic at congested points, coordinate to promptly handle situations that cause traffic unsafety, and ensure safety for people and vehicles traveling on National Highway 51 section passing through Dong Nai province.

According to reporters of Lao Dong Newspaper, at noon on April 18th on National Highway 51 in the direction from Vung Tau (HCMC) to Bien Hoa, the section of National Highway 51 intersecting with Phung Hung street was congested for a long time. The section passing toll station T1 on National Highway 51 (Tam Phuoc ward, Dong Nai province) was seriously congested, especially the section in front of Tam Phuoc Industrial Park gate. According to reporters' records, road repairs are underway in this area, causing vehicles to be congested here for many kilometers.
