Nghe An - As of the morning of July 24, National Highway 7 was still congested at dozens of points due to floodwaters, many sections were deeply flooded, and could not be opened to traffic.

On the morning of July 24, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Vo Van Bay - Deputy Director of Joint Stock Company 495, the unit managing and maintaining National Highway 7, said that National Highway 7 still has dozens of deeply flooded points that cannot be opened to traffic due to rising floodwaters.

According to Mr. Bay, so far only three flooded spots have been cleared, but at the same time, three other flooded spots have arisen.

Almost everything is still in place. A point right at the waist where Vuc Bong was cleared. In Muong Xen, a short section has just been cleared, but the (old) town area has not yet" - Mr. Bay informed.

Previously, due to the impact of storm No. 3, from the night of July 21 to the morning of July 23, Nghe An province had prolonged heavy rain, causing many areas to be deeply flooded.

Notably, National Highway 7 was heavily flooded, completely paralyzing traffic.

Recorded at the scene, the strong water flow was potentially dangerous for people and vehicles. Local authorities and functional forces have set up barriers, put up warning signs, and banned vehicles from circulating to ensure safety.
