Team K71 (Tay Ninh Provincial Military Command) has collected 6 sets of remains of martyrs in Tan Thanh commune and An Tinh ward.

Tay Ninh Provincial Military Command said that from July 14 to August 1, Team K71 collected 6 sets of martyrs' remains in Tan Thanh commune and An Tinh ward during the peak deployment of the "Operation 500 days and nights to promote the search, collection and identification of martyrs' remains".

Specifically in group 15 area, Loc Chanh neighborhood, An Tinh ward, after two consecutive days of task deployment (July 31 and August 1), Team K71 discovered and repatriated 4 sets of remains of martyrs.

From July 14 to August 1, 2026, Team K71 has collected 6 sets of martyrs' remains in Tan Thanh commune and An Tinh ward.

During the search, the task force combined the use of excavators to remove the surface layer of soil, then switched to manual excavation to ensure that it does not affect the remains and remaining artifacts.

Through excavation, the remains were found still wrapped in many layers of tanks, hammocks and military uniform fabric that had rotted over time. Because they were buried many years ago, most of the bones had decomposed.

Immediately after the discovery, Team K71 coordinated with relevant forces to organize excavation and exhumation according to the correct procedures. At the same time, the unit took biological samples for DNA testing to identify the martyrs according to regulations.

The continuous collection of martyrs' remains in a short time contributes to improving the effectiveness of the 500-day and night campaign, and at the same time demonstrates the efforts of the armed forces of Tay Ninh province in searching for and collecting martyrs' remains and implementing the "gratitude" policy.
