On February 25, Dakrong Forest Protection Station (Quang Tri province) received a rare otter handed over by students of Ta Long Elementary School.
Previously, Ho Van Xiec, a 4C grade student at Ta Long Elementary School, discovered an otter on the stream bank in poor health.
After notifying the school's Board of Directors, the Forest Protection Station came to receive and take them for care.

This otter belongs to Group IB - rare animals protected by law.
Dakrong Forest Protection Station will transfer the otter to the nearest rescue center for care and then release it back to its natural environment.
Dakrong Forest Protection Station has also organized propaganda for students of Ta Long Elementary School about awareness of wildlife protection.
