Rare yellow mountain turtle cows into a house in Quang Tri

    Quang Tri - A rare golden mountain turtle suddenly crawled into a yard of a house in Quang Tri. The discoverer proactively handed it over to the authorities for release into the natural environment.

    On October 13, Mr. Dang Nam - Deputy Head of Gio Linh - Con Co Forest Protection Department (Quang Tri province) said that the unit had just coordinated with Ben Hai Commune Police and Cua Viet Port Border Guard Station to release a rare turtle back into the natural environment.

    Previously, on October 12, Mr. Le Bang - Head of Ha Loi Trung village (Ben Hai commune, Quang Tri province) discovered a yellow turtle entering his yard. Curious, he took a photo and posted it on social media to get information. When he learned that this was a golden mountain turtle - an endangered, precious, and rare wild animal in group IIB, Mr. Bang proactively handed it over to the commune police.

    Through inspection, the authorities determined that the turtle weighed about 1kg and was in normal health. After completing the necessary procedures, the turtle was released into the natural environment in a safe area.
