The small road of Phan Si Pang 1 residential group is only a few hundred meters long, but it is a vivid cut for the strong change of Sa Pa after the "100 days - nights" campaign to renovate and improve alley traffic roads implemented by Sa Pa ward immediately after the direction of Lao Cai Provincial Party Secretary Trinh Viet Hung during a working trip at the end of October 2025.
In November 2025, many small roads such as Song Da - Hoang Lien route; Suoi Ho 1 route to the Cultural House have been concreted more than 200m, opening up spacious and clean walkways. Many households in Phan Si Pang 1 group also voluntarily donated land with no small value in the center of Sa Pa to renew the entire residential area.
The bustling working atmosphere also has the participation of businesses and officials of Sa Pa ward. People in residential groups also actively respond with the spirit of "giving whatever you have". The sound of mixers and laughter is as bustling as a sign that a new spring is coming very soon.
Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Phan Dang Toan - Secretary of the Party Committee of Sa Pa ward said: Within the framework of the "100 Days - Nights" campaign, Sa Pa ward selected 54 roads for upgrading, renovation and renovation, with a total length of nearly 20km - all of which are routes connecting residential areas with the ward center and tourist attractions.
To ensure progress and effective implementation, Sa Pa ward has established 6 working groups with 127 officials, civil servants, and unions to assign close monitoring of each route, ensuring synchronous and timely implementation.
The important highlight of the campaign is to effectively mobilize socialized resources, with a total budget of over 10 billion VND. 64 businesses and banks have registered to support with a total value of 1.8 billion VND in cash and more than 1,000 tons of cement.
Up to now, 46 routes of phase 1 have been completed, reaching the finish line 40 days ahead of schedule according to the initial plan. The remaining 8 routes will continue to be implemented in phase 2 from budget support," Sa Pa Ward Party Secretary shared.
According to Mr. Phan Dang Toan, the "100-day-night campaign" is not simply about building roads, but a process of arousing the sense of responsibility and mastery of people in urban construction.
The most encouraging thing is that after the roads are completed, the urban appearance has changed significantly, people's lives are more convenient, and tourists can access villages more easily, thereby creating more livelihoods for people.
