On June 27, according to Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV), the construction force of the aircraft fuel supply system of the Long Thanh International Airport Project (Long Thanh airport) reached 113%.
The aircraft fuel supply system at Long Thanh airport is gradually being completed, including 6 fuel tanks, along with a network of underground and surface fuel pipelines and auxiliary items.
Especially with the underground pipeline system leading fuel to the landing area to directly supply aircraft, with the ability to supply more than 5,000m3 per day, meeting the needs when the airport goes into operation.
To date, the fuel pipeline in the parking area has been completed and installed. House and auxiliary works, fire prevention and fighting, electricity and control continue to be accelerated; many equipment and pipelines are being connected, inspected, and prepared for the trial operation phase.
The implementation process is strictly controlled in terms of technology, quality and safety, ensuring synchronous connection, contributing to gradually completing the technical infrastructure serving the operation of Long Thanh airport.
Package 4.9 - Long Thanh airport fuel supply system with a contract value of more than 2,880 billion VND started construction in October 2024.
