On June 18, in Hanoi, the Central Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption, Wastefulness, and Negative Phenomena (PCTNLPTC) (Steering Committee) held the 30th Session to discuss and give opinions on the results of implementing the Work Program for the first 6 months of the year and key tasks for the last 6 months of 2026, along with some other important contents.

Regarding key tasks for the last 6 months of 2026, the Steering Committee requests Party committees and Party organizations at all levels from now until the end of 2026 to focus on directing the completion of tasks according to the 2026 Work Program and the conclusions of the General Secretary, President, Head of the Steering Committee, focusing on the following key tasks:
First, continue to concretize and institutionalize the guidelines, tasks, and solutions according to Resolution No. 04-NQ/TW and Plan No. 03-KH/TW of the Politburo.
The focus is on focusing on amending the Land Law and building and promulgating special resolutions on handling violations of laws related to the state economy, private economy and the application of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation.
At the same time, conduct a general review of the legal system to fully identify bottlenecks and loopholes that cause corruption, wastefulness, and negativity to cancel, amend, supplement promptly, synchronously, and establish effective control mechanisms.
Second, create breakthrough changes in preventing and combating wastefulness. The Government Party Committee and provincial and city Party committees direct the determination to complete and completely handle backlog projects and works, prolonged projects, with difficulties and obstacles, and redundant houses and land after arranging the apparatus in 2026.
Third, focus on inspecting, examining, investigating, and thoroughly handling cases and incidents of corruption, wastefulness, negativity, seriousness, and complexity that occur in key and key sectors of the economy. Especially focusing on investigating and strictly handling cases and incidents related to the Long Thanh airport project, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs headquarters, in the fields of food safety, environment, minerals, energy, land, finance, banking and other key sectors.
Fourth, functional agencies should closely coordinate, remove difficulties and obstacles in implementation, improve the efficiency of recovery and handling of assets and material evidence right from the investigation, prosecution, and trial stages and during the judgment enforcement stage; considering asset recovery as an important measure of the effectiveness of handling corruption, wastefulness, and negativity.
Fifth, promote early and remote prevention associated with power control at the grassroots level and data monitoring. The focus is on strengthening power control, regularly monitoring the performance of tasks and powers of cadres and party members at the grassroots level, completing the supervision of 5 Regulations of the Politburo on power control, PCTNTC, first of all in personnel work; promptly replacing and dismissing cadres who are weak in capacity, irresponsible, showing signs of corruption, wastefulness, and negativity.
Continue to promote administrative procedure reform, digital transformation associated with PCTNLPTC; soon complete, connect, and share national databases, integrate data of ministries, branches, and localities, ensure synchronization, intercommunication, ease of exploitation, use and serve control and supervision on data.
Sixth, continue to promote information, propaganda, and education on diligence, thrift, integrity, impartiality, and PCTNLPTC; strengthen propaganda of good and effective models and practices in practicing thrift, combating wastefulness, and handling long-standing projects and works with risks of loss and waste.
