On August 3, representatives of Noi Bai International Airport said that the separate traffic diversion for Vietnamese citizens was implemented from August 2 at the entry and exit control area of International Terminal T2.
According to a representative of Noi Bai airport, arranging separate lanes helps Vietnamese passengers easily recognize the check-in area, reducing waiting time, especially during peak hours. At the same time, this plan contributes to organizing and regulating passenger flow more scientifically in the entry and exit control area.
Separate lanes for Vietnamese citizens are also in line with the trend being applied at many major international airports, in order to shorten check-in time and improve passenger experience.
Through practical experience, many passengers said that being able to check in by private lane significantly shortens the entry time, in some cases it only takes about 4-5 minutes.
Previously, Vietnamese and foreign passengers queued in the same area, causing the waiting time for entry to last from 30 minutes to more than 1 hour, especially during peak hours.
According to a representative of Noi Bai airport, reorganizing the passenger flow may cause passengers using technology cars to travel a shorter distance than before. However, passengers are guided to walk according to the correct route and pick up cars at centralized parking areas.
This plan is expected to contribute to limiting congestion in the station area due to picking up and dropping off passengers between previous vehicle flows.
