On August 30, thousands of passengers were present at Tan Son Nhat airport (HCMC) to return to their hometowns or travel during the September 2 National Day holiday. Even though it is peak day, the air at the airport is still orderly, without prolonged congestion.
The busiest area was recorded at the check-in counter of Vietjet domestic airline at terminal T1. However, thanks to many passengers choosing to check-in online, travel is smooth, quick through the security check-in and departure stages.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hau (32 years old, from Thanh Hoa) said: "I arrived at the airport at 6am, initially worried about the crowds, but the procedures were quite quick, taking only about 20 minutes to complete. My family is more assured because we do not have to wait as long as during Tet.
Similarly, Ms. Tran Thi Thu (27 years old, living in Tan Hung ward, Ho Chi Minh City) shared: "I checked in online first so I went straight to the screening door, very convenient. Although crowded, the airport is quite well organized and not crowded.

According to the plan, on the occasion of September 2 this year, Tan Son Nhat airport plans to operate 730 flights/day (430 domestic flights, 300 international flights), an increase of about 6% compared to the regular flight schedule. The average number of visitors is about 125,000/day, including 75,000 domestic visitors and 50,000 international visitors.
The two peak days are forecast to be August 30 (domestic flights) and September 2 (domestic flights), with more than 750 flights, serving 130,000 passengers.
