fast progress but must ensure quality
On the afternoon of April 2, Minister of Construction Tran Hong Minh inspected the construction progress of the two expressways Hoai Nhon - Quy Nhon and Quy Nhon - Chi Thanh, part of the North - South Expressway Construction Project in the East, phase 2021-2025.
During the inspection, the Minister inspected the construction site at the foot of Ky Lo bridge - a key project of the Quy Nhon - Chi Thanh expressway project. This bridge is nearly 1.9km long and 49m high, constructed in conditions of strong winds, causing many difficulties for construction units.

Reporting to the Minister, Mr. Pham Van Minh - Director of Project Management Board (PMU) 85 - said that up to now, both projects have basically completed 79 bridges, the remaining 14 bridges are under construction with progress closely following the plan.
Ky Lo Bridge is one of the particularly important projects, and despite difficult construction conditions, contractors have mobilized maximum human resources and equipment to ensure progress.
Through inspection, Minister Tran Hong Minh acknowledged and praised the tireless working spirit of the construction units. However, he also emphasized that, during the sprinting phase of the project, the speed of speeding is extremely necessary, but must focus on the quality of the project.

The Minister requested the construction units to make the most of the dry season of the Central region to accelerate the progress. "The more difficult construction, the more determination is determined, the sooner you must take advantage of the day it is good.
By September 2, the Quy Nhon - Chi Thanh, Chi Thanh - Van Phong projects must connect the route to celebrate the big holiday, completing the route from North to South", the Minister directed.
Commitment to opening the route on National Day
Reporting on the Hoai Nhon - Quy Nhon Expressway, Mr. Pham Van Minh - Director of Project Management Board 85 - said that the construction progress of this component project has reached more than 70%, exceeding the plan. Similarly, the progress of the Quy Nhon - Chi Thanh expressway, which is 61.7km long and passes through Binh Dinh and Phu Yen provinces, has reached more than 71%.
Despite some problems related to changing forest use purposes, these difficulties have been basically resolved. Contractors have mobilized sufficient equipment and human resources to speed up the construction progress.
However, the conversion of forest use purposes in package No. 11-XL of the Hoai Nhon - Quy Nhon project must wait until October 2024 to have a policy, causing delays in handing over the site (8 months later than planned).
"The Board is committed to completing the opening of the two expressways Hoai Nhon - Quy Nhon and Quy Nhon - Chi Thanh on the occasion of September 2. The Board has also signed a contract with the Transport Design Consulting Corporation to survey, prepare technical designs and estimate traffic management monitoring systems, ensuring that expressways are operated effectively and safely," the leader of Project Management Board 85 pledged.
The Hoai Nhon - Quy Nhon Expressway has a total length of more than 70km, passing through Binh Dinh province, with a total investment of more than VND 12,400 billion. The Quy Nhon - Chi Thanh Expressway is 61.7km long, passing through Binh Dinh and Phu Yen provinces, with a total investment of more than 14,800 billion VND.
