Fixed and mobile checkpoints are strengthened, ensuring strict control of people and vehicles entering and leaving the country; resolutely preventing illegal entry and exit, smuggling, and transportation of prohibited goods, especially during the period before elections.

Lieutenant Colonel Tran Anh Son - Deputy Head of Long Binh Border Guard Station (An Giang Provincial Border Guard) - said: "Before the election day of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term, the unit has developed a peak plan to fight against crime. We strengthen forces and vehicles; preside over and coordinate with the Police and the Military Command of Khanh Binh commune to organize closed patrols in the area, especially river routes such as Hau River, Binh Di River, trails, open paths and border areas.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Tran Anh Son, in addition to daytime patrols, the force also strengthens nighttime patrols to tighten management of the area, manage subjects, especially those with previous convictions and suspects related to smuggling, gambling, and drugs. The work of receiving and processing crime reports and denunciations is also maintained 24/24 hours.

Not only focusing on control work, the border guard force also promotes propaganda and dissemination of laws to people in border areas; mobilizing people not to assist smuggling, illegal entry and exit. "Each citizen is an important'soldier' to help functional forces maintain security and order in border areas," Lieutenant Colonel Tran Anh Son emphasized.

Therefore, the unit has thoroughly grasped to each officer and soldier the spirit of responsibility, readiness to receive and complete all assigned tasks well. Not only training in expertise, the unit also strengthens political and ideological education, helping officers and soldiers raise awareness about the meaning of the all-people festival.
