Tightening traffic safety during holidays

Tô Thế |

The Traffic Police force has increased patrols and controls, especially on key routes and gateways to prevent violations of traffic safety and order early and from a distance during the holiday.

At the Hung Vuong Commemoration Ceremony in 2025, cadres, civil servants, and workers will have 3 days off. With a long holiday, people's travel needs will increase, requiring authorities to strengthen the assurance of traffic order and safety, making it easier for people to travel.

In Hanoi, in addition to traffic diversion and regulation, the Traffic Police will synchronously deploy measures, strengthen control at key routes, areas, and gateways to detect and handle violations early and remotely. In particular, focus on strictly handling violations that are direct causes of traffic accidents, such as alcohol concentration, drugs, carrying overloaded goods, exceeding the prescribed number of people; gathering to disturb public order, illegal racing...

From March 28, Road Traffic Police Team No. 6 - Hanoi Traffic Police Department began implementing a plan to strengthen the handling of the situation of teenagers gathering, driving in a zigzag manner, not wearing helmets, even carrying weapons when participating in traffic... Working groups use specialized motorbikes to patrol on gateway routes, especially in border areas between the inner city and the suburbs to detect violations early.

"We combine both public and disguised forces so that the handling is effective. The holiday of the Hung Vuong's death anniversary is arranged forces to firmly grasp the situation in the area to manage and promptly prevent the youth groups showing signs of disturbance and traffic safety right from the gateway area," said Major Hoang Van Binh - Deputy Captain of Road Traffic Police Team No. 6.

During holidays, violations of alcohol concentration often tend to increase, and the Hanoi Traffic Police have also taken action to prevent them. Accordingly, the Traffic Police Working Groups are assigned to patrol and control routes and areas with many restaurants, eateries, karaoke bars, etc. When violations are detected, they will inform the public groups to stop the vehicles for handling.

Commenting on the reason why the rate of violations of alcohol content is still high, the traffic police said that consciousness and understanding are the most important factor. Compared to the same period in previous years, the number of violations of alcohol content has decreased significantly, especially after Decree 168 took effect. However, a part of people still have subjective psychology. Only when violating, the functional forces directly propagandize will realize their mistakes.

Work to ensure traffic order and safety must be maintained regularly, continuously, without interruption to raise people's awareness of compliance, reduce accidents and build a safe traffic culture, emphasized Colonel Tran Dinh Nghia - Head of Hanoi Traffic Police Department.

In addition, the cooperation of people in detecting and reporting violations and inadequacies in traffic organization is also an important factor in helping to improve the efficiency of traffic management and operation.

During the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day and on weekdays, people can send their complaints via the Zalo page "Hanoi Traffic Police Department" and hotline number 0243.942.4451. The sent information will be checked and forwarded to relevant units for immediate handling, ensuring smooth and safe traffic.

The Hanoi Traffic Police Department receives information 24/7, ready to quickly handle arising incidents to serve the travel needs of the people.
