Located in the center of Da Nang City, Ngo Quyen - Ngu Hanh Son road has recently seen a series of sewers, affecting traffic and posing a potential risk of traffic accidents.
Reporting to Lao Dong, many people who regularly travel on the route said that due to the high traffic density, car drivers traveling on this route always have to concentrate, because the damage to the road surface can easily cause loss of control.
The most dangerous part of this damage is at intersections where motorbikes move through the subsidence spots. Many locations of the road surface are elevated to high edges, causing danger to traffic participants.
Responding to this content, the Department of Construction of Da Nang City informed that after receiving feedback from the people, the Department of Construction has directed Linh Suong Construction, Trade and Service Company Limited (the unit assigned to perform regular management and maintenance) to inspect and handle.
According to Linh Suong Trade and Service Construction Company Limited, after receiving the information, the management unit immediately deployed the work of reviewing and inspecting the site and records on the Ngo Quyen - Ngu Hanh Son road section (from km4 + 400 to km12 + 241).
At the damaged road surfaces on the Ngo Quyen - Ngu Hanh Son section, the unit has regularly monitored and handled scraping to make the road flat from June 2023 to present.
According to this company, due to the continuous hot weather in recent days, asphalt concrete road surfaces have deformed and not recovered vertically from the asphalt concrete road surface structure at the overlapping locations of the wheel load.
Some locations have a phenomenon of sliding, leading to a level playing field between the asphalt concrete layer above and the layer below.
The unit will continue to inspect and monitor the remaining damaged road surfaces on the route (coordinated with the Da Nang Infrastructure Maintenance Board), and propose them in the repair plan for 2026.
"Currently, in regular maintenance work, the wheel spline feature is not allocated for implementation.
However, under the direction of the Department of Construction of Da Nang City and in order to contribute to ensuring traffic safety on National Highway 14B, the road management unit has deployed the repair and handling of some asphalt concrete slides" - the report of Linh Suong Construction, Trade and Service Company Limited stated.
