Gia Lai - Along with the resettlement arrangement, Vietnam Electricity Group needs to soon arrange funding to invest in rebuilding the landslide route.

On November 26, Mr. Duong Mah Tiep - Vice Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee - said that the province has just requested functional departments, branches and Ia Ly Hydropower Company to fix a serious road landslide incident in the area.

Accordingly, the province assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment to synthesize the needs for resettlement for households in landslide areas in Ia Ly commune, and include them in the plan for arranging and stabilizing emergency residents in disaster areas.

Ia Ly Commune People's Committee coordinated with Ia Ly Hydropower Company to continue monitoring and supervising the situation of subsidence and landslides on the route.

At the same time, promptly and widely notify people to warn of dangers when people participate in production and farming in the downstream area, in order to prevent risks and ensure the safety of people and property.

The People's Committee of Gia Lai province requested Ia Ly Hydropower Company to report and recommend that Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) consider investing in the construction of a 500kV Station operation route in the new direction to serve the electricity industry's activities and people's needs. The funding is arranged by Vietnam Electricity Group.

Previously, the road to the 500kV Transformer Station of Ia Ly Hydropower Plant ( Ia Ly Commune) suffered a serious landslide, extending more than 300 meters, threatening to directly affect the homes of 6 households.

Among them, a household had a house that had sunk and the walls collapsed. In this case, the locality has supported the rent of temporary houses. The remaining households are being mobilized to evacuate to ensure safety.
