On March 4, the government of Ba Vi commune, Quang Ngai province urgently mobilized forces to support people to overcome the consequences of the tornado that occurred on the afternoon of March 3.
Dozens of officers and soldiers of the Police, Military, and Militia, along with union members and youth, were present in the affected residential areas to help people re-roof blown corrugated iron roofs, collect fallen green trees, and reinforce damaged houses to ensure safety. In many places, the sound of hammers and cutting machines echoed, interspersed with words of encouragement for each other to overcome difficulties after the natural disaster.
Local authorities also coordinated with the electricity sector to urgently handle the incident, restore the power system, and at the same time clear roads blocked by fallen trees, ensuring smooth traffic for people to travel and live conveniently.

Previously, at about 4:15 pm on March 3, a localized tornado appeared in Ba Vi commune, accompanied by showers and strong gusts of wind. The tornado lasted about 30 minutes but caused heavy damage: 116 houses had their roofs blown off, many green trees were broken, crops and some auxiliary works were affected.
On March 4, the locality continued to count and statistically assess damage to soon develop appropriate support plans, helping people stabilize their lives, activities and production after the natural disaster.
