In early 2025, Lao Dong Newspaper published a series of articles reflecting that the establishment named Maison Du Sac Hoang Anh located at BTT 6 - 5 Him Lam Van Phuc Villa Area has signs of trading in counterfeit brands, violating the intellectual property rights of protected brands in Vietnam.
After the reflection of Lao Dong Newspaper, Department 5 - Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention (Ministry of Public Security) coordinated with Market Management Team No. 1, Market Management Team No. 11 (Hanoi Market Management Department) to inspect and handle.
Through confirmation, all the goods that the authorities checked according to the information reflected in the store were counterfeit goods. Therefore, based on the case file and legal regulations, this unit violated: Not registering to establish a business household in cases where registration is required according to regulations; Trading in counterfeit goods; Providing information on goods that violate intellectual property rights on the Internet environment.
However, nearly 1 year after the incident, according to the reporter's records, Maison Du Sac Hoang Anh's activities are still bustling, with regular livestreams taking place with hundreds of viewers and interactions.
In the latest video posted on the evening of December 6, a series of products that replicate major brands are being offered for sale.
"This Chanel bag is very popular with nude colors, out of 10 people, there must be 3 - 4 people who own this model. My family is selling this "like auth" bag for 14.5 million VND, it is too cheap, ladies", a livestream employee of Maison Du Sac Hoang Anh advertised.
Not only openly live-stream selling fake branded bags, this store is not afraid to post images of buying and selling transactions, along with the appearance of many types of foreign currency even though according to regulations, in our country, this activity is almost not allowed by the State Bank except in special cases.
Change your name to avoid checking
When the reporter contacted and expressed his desire to come and see the products directly, Maison Du Sac Hoang Anh's staff said that the store currently only prioritizes online sales because the end of the year is a sensitive time.
To convince customers, the staff said that there would be free shipping, buyers only needed to choose a satisfactory sample, the staff would deliver and check when receiving the goods.
To facilitate business, "use" the name Maison Du Sac Hoang Anh has appeared in the press with many negative reports. This unit has sent a notice to customers that it will change its name to Sibao GoodLuxe but "there is still us..." to continue trading in counterfeit branded products, violating the intellectual property rights of protected brands in Vietnam.
Mr. Nguyen Dang Sinh - Chairman of the Vietnam Association for Anti-Counterfeiting and Brand Protection - said that the act of selling counterfeit goods, counterfeit goods, and infringing on intellectual property rights shows disregard for the law, seriously violates current regulations, and even shows signs of criminal violations.
In the context of Vietnam's commitment to implementing international trade agreements on intellectual property protection, we need to seriously implement these commitments, otherwise we will face the risk of violating international regulations.
The competent authority must strengthen inspection, control, and thoroughly implement responsibilities within its authority. Absolutely do not let the situation of "throwing drums and quitting the bar" happen, only check and handle the top part, then continue the violation.
"State management agencies are given strong tools to inspect, control the market and handle violations. However, if violations continue to exist in the management area, these agencies must take responsibility" - Mr. Sinh affirmed.
