Dump truck driver recklessly stops parked on train track, threatens train safety

Da Nang - Despite the danger, the dump truck driver stopped the vehicle right on the train track.

This reckless behavior seriously threatens the safety of railway traffic and has been punished.

On July 23, the Quang Nam - Da Nang signal information Enterprise said it had sent a document requesting the authorities to strictly handle the case of dump trucks violating railway traffic safety.

Previously, at around 10:10 on July 21, at the Km896+238 automatic warning level crossing on the North-South railway (in Da Nang), a dump truck with license plate 92C-149.94 stopped and parked right on the railway.

According to the railway management unit, not only the dump trucks mentioned above, many other heavy trucks carrying construction materials also lined up to stop and park within the safe distance of the level crossing.

This behavior causes congestion, making it impossible for vehicles to escape the dangerous area when there is a signal of a ship arriving, posing a very high risk of catastrophic accidents.

Immediately after receiving the information, the Railway Traffic Police Team No. 2 (Traffic Police Department) coordinated with the Da Nang City Police to quickly verify and invite the driver to work.

The authorities have issued a fine for the driver for the act of: "Not complying with regulations on stopping at road intersections at the same level as railways".

The authorities warned that this area often has heavy trucks passing by, the situation of drivers, despite the danger, stopping and parking on the level crossing still recurs, causing serious unsafety.
