On April 20, recorded at the extended Tran Hung Dao Avenue construction site, the construction atmosphere was urgent throughout the route. Many construction fronts were deployed simultaneously, machinery operated continuously, creating a rapid pace in the sprint phase.
Along the route from the end point of the existing Tran Hung Dao road to the Ngoi Bo stream area, Gia Phu commune, vehicles transporting materials are bustling in and out. The roadbed positions are being compressed, each layer of soil is compacted according to technical standards.
In drainage sections, precast sewer and ditch systems have been completed and are being installed synchronously.
According to Mr. Le Thai Toan - Head of ODA Project Management Department, Lao Cai Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, the investor is closely monitoring the progress and closely coordinating with the contractor to organize scientific construction.
We regularly inspect the site, promptly remove obstacles, especially in terms of site clearance, to ensure progress according to the set plan," Mr. Toan said.
Regarding progress, package No. 18 (roadbed construction and drainage system) has completed all precast components, and the roadbed is currently being deployed at about 2.3/2.67km.
The value of the implemented volume reached approximately 85/120.55 billion VND, equivalent to 70%. It is expected that this package will be completed on July 30, 2026, earlier than the contract term at the end of the year.
Site clearance work basically meets construction requirements. To date, 161/164 households have been paid compensation and handed over land, with a total area of about 30.9ha. Some remaining cases are continuing to complete procedures for handover in the near future.
Mr. Bui Dai Loi - construction site commander informed that the unit is maintaining personnel and equipment to ensure progress.
Currently, we have paved about 450m of road surface, and about 300m is completing the K98 foundation. It is expected that the remaining foundation will be completed in about 20 days to move to the next construction steps," Mr. Loi said.
Meanwhile, package No. 28 (brick foundation construction, road surface and traffic safety system) is worth 55 billion VND, currently about 9.2 billion VND has been implemented, equivalent to 17% of the volume. The contractor is continuing to increase machinery and personnel to accelerate the progress of the remaining items.
The extended Tran Hung Dao Avenue project has a total length of about 2.5km, with a total investment of more than 170 billion VND.
This is an important traffic route, contributing to completing urban infrastructure, expanding development space towards Gia Phu commune and increasing connectivity with the main traffic axes of the old Lao Cai city.
At the construction site, each section of the route gradually takes shape, and many items are moved to the completion phase.
When the road is put into operation, it will create motivation for socio-economic development for the locality.
