On the afternoon of December 18, Ship 09, Brigade 171, Naval Region 2 safely docked at Brigade 171 port, completing a journey of more than 1,700 nautical miles participating in the 2nd ASEAN - US Maritime Exercise (AUMX-2) in Indonesia.
The AUMX-2 exercise has the participation of Navy ships of 8 countries in ASEAN and the United States. Ship 09, Brigade 171, Naval Region 2 represented the Vietnam People's Navy in participating in the exercise.
The AUMX-2 exercise took place from December 10 to 13. The working group and Ship 09 participated in activities on the shore such as: Opening ceremony, table tennis drills, dissemination of sea travel plans, expert seminars and situation handling, cultural sports activities, attending the host country's reception and visiting Indonesia's culture and cuisine.
On December 12 and 13, Ship 09 of the Vietnam People's Navy participated in a sea combat exercise with ships of ASEAN countries and ships of the US Navy. For sections such as: Mobilizing vertical formation, two rows of horizontal lines, diamonds, fans; practicing the section of flag and light information; fighting to protect the vitality of ships; searching and rescuing people falling into water; mobilizing the formation, taking photos in the air, greeting each other at sea.
During the sea drill, Ship 09 representing the Vietnam People's Navy fully participated and completed the drill sections well, ensuring distance, squad Distance, speed, smooth communication, and coordination with Navy ships of other countries.
At the same time, he has fully and responsibly participated in cultural and sports exchange activities, leaving many good feelings and impressions, spreading the friendly and friendly image of the Vietnam People's Navy in the eyes of international friends and the people of the host country Indonesia.
