On December 9, the Standing Office of the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of Binh Thuan province received information about fishing boat BV 99872 TS sinking in the waters of Binh Thuan province.
Fishing boat BV 99872 TS is 18.95 m long, 410 CV capacity; purse seine fishing, bought by Mr. D.C.T (born in 1974, residing in Son Tra district, Da Nang city) from Mr. P.N.T (born in 1984, residing in Vung Tau city, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province). While the boat was on its way back to Da Nang, it was flooded and sank in the sea area 5.5 nautical miles southeast of Ke Ga cape.
The bow of the ship is about 2m above sea level. Property damage has not been determined yet, there are no human casualties, and no oil spills. The owner of BV 99872 TS has contacted vehicles operating near the sunken ship to assist in salvaging and towing the ship to Phan Thiet fishing port.
