Fishing boat caught fire fiercely in the early morning, causing hundreds of millions of VND in damage

Thanh Hoa - The ship was anchored at Lach Truong port when it suddenly caught fire, fortunately there were no casualties.

On July 30, the People's Committee of Hoang Tien commune said that at around 1:40 am the same day, a serious ship fire broke out at the anchorage area of Lach Truong Fishing Wharf.

According to initial information, the ship in distress, registration number TH-91499-TS, owned by Mr. Pham Ngoc Hoi (born in 1971, residing in Giang Son village, Hoang Tien commune), was anchored when it suddenly caught fire.

Upon receiving information about the incident, the authorities and local people quickly arrived and organized fire fighting. At around 2:30 a.m., the fire was controlled, fortunately there were no casualties.

According to initial estimates, the fire caused hundreds of millions of VND in damage, mainly the boat's body and fishing equipment.

The cause of the fire is being investigated and clarified by the authorities.
