After more than 30 years of waiting to get a red book
On the afternoon of July 30, the People's Committee of Phuoc Thang Ward (HCMC) held a ceremony to hand over the Land Use Rights Certificate (red book) to local people. Thereby, 2 households have received red books after a long wait.
Unable to describe the joy of receiving the red book in hand, Ms. Phung Thi Gon (quarter 7, Phuoc Thang ward) said that she just wanted to jump up and scream because she was so happy.
According to Ms. Gon, the couple bought a 78m2 plot of land in 1993 for 2.5 taels of yellow, and then moved back to build a house to live in. However, at that time, he bought a handwritten document so he could not get a red book.
After that, the old landowner applied for a red book but merged the land that Ms. Con had bought. Although Ms. Gon asked for support to separate the plot, she was not approved, leading to a long dispute. Although the red book that the old landowner was granted was later canceled, Ms. Hon's procedures for granting the book were still stuck.
"The incident has lasted until now, and after just over a month since the two-level authorities began operating, they have reviewed and worked, helping me get a red book. I am very grateful for the enthusiastic support of the ward leaders and staff," Ms. Con said emotionally.
Quick procedures, enthusiastic staff
Also receiving the red book, Ms. Pham Thi Bich Phuong highly appreciated the positivity of the two-level government, as well as the enthusiastic support of Phuoc Thang ward officials.
"My application has also been stuck for several years, but since the two-level authorities started operating, I feel that the procedures have been streamlined, and the people have been enthusiastically supported," said Ms. Phuong.
According to Mr. Nguyen Viet Dung - Chairman of Phuoc Thang Ward People's Committee, the cases that were granted red books had previously submitted documents to the old Vung Tau City People's Committee, and were then handed over to Phuoc Thang Ward from July 1, a total of 188 documents.
Local authorities have implemented steps to issue red books to people to ensure compliance with regulations; shortening possible procedures to speed up progress, thereby quickly resolving records for people. These are also the first cases to receive red books in Phuoc Thang ward.
"This is a huge asset for the people, so we hope to have it resolved soon. Therefore, the ward also tries to encourage the brothers to both study and follow the regulations, and shorten the time as soon as possible, so that people can feel secure and use their assets in the most legal way," said Mr. Dung.
