The collision occurred right at the pontoon bridge opening time, so it was only a minor collision. Immediately after that, the incident was fixed by us. At the right time, the pontoon bridge was closed again for people to continue moving," said the representative of the Ninh Cuong pontoon bridge station management board.
It is known that every day, whenever ships pass by, the Ninh Cuong pontoon bridge must be temporarily opened to make way for the channel. Usually, canoes will pull the pontoon out to open the waterway traffic channel for ships and boats to travel by the hour, regulated from 9am - 10am and 3pm - 4pm. After that, the pontoon bridge is pulled back by canoes to connect for road vehicles to continue moving.
