On July 9, Chairman of Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Ut worked with departments, branches and local authorities after a field survey of the Ho Chi Minh City - Moc Bai Expressway project. Here, he requested that localities with roads passing through must complete site clearance and hand over by August 15 at the latest.
According to the plan, the Ho Chi Minh City - Moc Bai Expressway project has a total length of about 51km, of which the section passing through Tay Ninh province is 26.3km long. The project is implemented under the BOT form, phase 1 will build 4 lanes and an emergency lane, and the Government has approved the investment policy since August 2024.

Tay Ninh is responsible for implementing component project No. 4 on compensation, support and resettlement with a total capital of nearly VND 1,504 billion, of which more than VND 1,367 billion is reserved for compensation payment. To date, the province has completed more than half of the payment volume.
At the meeting, a number of difficulties were raised, especially the change of seals and financial procedures after the merger of Regional Land Fund Development Centers, causing payment to be interrupted for more than 13 days. However, communes and wards are still committed to maintaining progress according to the province's direction.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized the need to urgently remove obstacles, complete procedures and continue payment to ensure the site is handed over on time. He also requested communes and wards to proactively and boldly coordinate with departments and branches to establish a Compensation - Site Clearance Council in accordance with the new situation, creating smooth conditions for investment projects in the future.
The Land Fund Development Center has also been assigned to focus resources on payment to affected people, ensuring that resettlement work takes place quickly and stabilizes people's lives.
