The meteorological agency recommends that people closely monitor weather developments to proactively prevent them.
Monitoring radar and satellite images in the past 3 hours, convective cloud masses are developing strongly, causing showers with thunderstorms and lightning in the communes/wards of Tan Hoa, Tan Thanh, Duong Minh Chau, Ninh Dien, Phuoc Vinh, Binh Hiep, Tuyen Binh, Tuyen Thanh, Vinh Chau, Tan Hung and Vinh Hung.
It is forecasted that in the afternoon and evening of November 6, the thunderstorm area will continue to expand, affecting other areas such as Lo Go - Xa Mat National Park, Tan Bien, Thanh Duc, Phuoc Thanh, Moc Hoa, Tan Tay, Long An and neighboring areas of Tay Ninh province. Rainfall is generally from 2-15mm, in some places over 20mm.
The provincial Hydrometeorological Station warns that during thunderstorms, special attention should be paid to the phenomenon of tornadoes, lightning, strong gusts of wind and hail that can cause trees to fall, damage houses, traffic works, infrastructure and affect people's safety. In addition, heavy rains are likely to cause localized flooding in low-lying areas.
The Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of Tay Ninh province recommends that people closely monitor forecasts, proactively reinforce their homes, protect crops and livestock and not take shelter under trees or near high-altitude areas when there are thunderstorms to ensure safety.
