The People's Committee of Son La province has just issued a decision on transferring 12 old district-level health centers (including commune-level health stations) under the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to the provincial Department of Health for management and renaming them regional health centers.
The Medical Centers are transferred to the Department of Health for management and renamed as follows: Son La City Medical Center is renamed Son La City Medical Center, including 4 Ward Health Stations and 8 Medical Points; Bac Yen District Medical Center is changed to Bac Yen Regional Health Center, including 6 Commune Health Stations and 10 Medical Points; Mai Son District Medical Center is changed to Mai Son Regional Health Center including 8 Commune Health Stations and 14 Medical Points; Moc Chau Town Medical Center is changed to Moc Chau Regional Health Center including 8 Commune Health Stations, Wards and 8 Medical Points.
Muong La District Medical Center is renamed Muong La Regional Medical Center, including 5 Commune Health Stations and 11 Medical Points; Phu Yen District Medical Center is renamed Phu Yen Regional Medical Center, including 8 Commune Health Stations and 17 Medical Points; Quynh Nhai District Medical Center is renamed Quynh Nhai Regional Medical Center, including 4 Commune Health Stations and 7 Medical Points; Song Ma District Medical Center is renamed Song Ma Regional Medical Center, including 9 Commune Health Stations and 10 Medical Points.
Sop Cop District Medical Center was renamed the Sop Cop Regional Medical Center, including 4 Commune Health Stations and 4 Medical Points; Thuan Chau District Medical Center was renamed the Thuan Chau Regional Medical Center, including 10 Ward Health Stations and 18 Medical Points; Van Ho District Medical Center was renamed the Van Ho Regional Medical Center, including 4 Commune Health Stations and 9 Medical Points; Yen Chau District Medical Center was renamed the Yen Chau Regional Medical Center, including 5 Commune Health Stations and 9 Medical Points.
These Health Centers have the function of providing professional and technical services in preventive medicine, medical examination, treatment, rehabilitation, food safety, population and other health services according to the provisions of law; performing the function of medical examination and treatment to provide outpatient medical examination and treatment services, screening, consultation, other health services, managing non-communicable diseases in the community and managing the operations of commune and ward health stations according to the assigned management area.
