By 2030, in the province's economic structure, industry and construction account for 54.6%; services and product tax account for 36.5%; agriculture, forestry, and fisheries account for 8.9%.
By 2030, GRDP per capita will reach 220 million VND, and the growth rate of state budget revenue will reach 10%/year or more.
The value of agricultural, forestry and fishery products increases by an average of 4%/year. By 2030, the total value of products harvested from tea trees will reach 25 trillion VND.

Thai Nguyen strives to become a centrally-run city by 2050 with green space, smart city, rich cultural identity. At the same time, it is a high-tech industrial center and a center for research, training, and high-quality healthcare of the whole country.
To achieve this goal, the planning of Thai Nguyen province identifies 3 key economic regions.
The northern region, with an area of more than 4,518 km2, is a key area for nature conservation, biodiversity, water security and green economic development.
The intersection area, located between the East-West economic corridor, National Highway 3B and Tuyen Quang - Thai Nguyen - Lang Son expressway. This area of more than 1,965 km2 focuses on developing high-tech agriculture, agricultural and forestry product processing industry, cultural and historical tourism.
The southern region, with an area of nearly 1,900 km2, is an area concentrated with large industrial parks, central urban areas, education, healthcare and high-quality services.
Thai Nguyen also identified 5 corridors for economic development.
Regarding education, the session approved regulations on investment policies, prioritizing the development of preschool education. Policies for children and preschool teachers of private and semi-public types related to industrial parks in the province.
