The Traffic Police (CSGT) force is simultaneously deploying strong measures to ensure traffic order and safety nationwide. The focus is placed on inspecting and handling violations of alcohol concentration, the operation of cargo transport vehicles, as well as violations related to students.
According to records of the Traffic Police Department - Ministry of Public Security, every day functional forces detect thousands of violations. Among them, alcohol concentration violations range from about 2,700 to 5,000 cases; transport vehicles violate from 700 to 1,000 cases; and about 700 cases are students and parents who do not comply with regulations when participating in traffic.
These figures show great pressure on ensuring safety on roads," the Traffic Police Department emphasized.
Notably, according to the Traffic Police Department, there is still a situation where some vehicle owners and transport business drivers disregard legal regulations. Acts such as carrying overloaded goods, arbitrarily extending the cargo box, carrying more people than allowed, speeding or not complying with traffic rules pose a high risk of causing accidents. In some cases, they even put pressure and obstruct functional forces when on duty.
A serious traffic accident occurred at about 11:35 am on February 4 in Thai Nguyen province, killing two people, including a traffic police officer.
According to the Traffic Police Department, the incident once again sounded the alarm about the carelessness and disregard for the law of a part of vehicle drivers.
Currently, the cause of the accident is being clarified by the Investigation Police Agency Office according to regulations.
However, driving a long-sized dump truck without controlling speed and keeping a safe distance from the car in front, not paying attention to observation when changing direction... causing unsafety and traffic accidents is unacceptable," the Traffic Police Department emphasized.

Faced with the above reality, the Traffic Police Department affirmed that it will continue to direct forces nationwide to strengthen inspection and strictly handle violations of transport business drivers.
The goal is not only to restore traffic discipline but also to form the habit of complying with the law, raising the sense of responsibility of drivers towards the community and society.
