On the afternoon of February 28, Dak Lak Provincial Functional Agencies discovered and are clarifying the case of a young pregnant woman and her young child tragically dying in a lake near their house.
According to initial information, on February 27, while everyone in the family went to work in the fields, Ms. H.B. K (19 years old; residing in Ea Tul commune, Dak Lak province) was at home with her 4-year-old daughter.
At about 10 am on the same day, Ms. H.B. K suddenly texted her sister to say goodbye but did not specify where she was going.
In the evening of the same day, relatives in the family returned from work and did not see Ms. H.B. K and her child, so they divided their search.
During the search, people discovered 2 pairs of sandals and a jacket on the lake shore, about 1km from the house.
Immediately after that, people and functional forces came to this area to search for the victims.
Until dawn on February 28, functional forces and people successively discovered and found the bodies of Ms. H.B. K and her daughter under the lake. At the time of the tragic incident, Ms. H.B. K was about 21 weeks pregnant.
