Bustling worker's day
More than 5,000 union members and Hai Phong workers participate in "Hai Phong Workers' Day 2026" at VSIP Industrial Park. The program has many exciting activities such as the "Green Run - Healthy and Beautiful Steps" race with nearly 3,000 union members, voluntary blood donation with more than 1,000 participants, the Golden Bell Ringing contest with nearly 600 contestants, tug-of-war with 27 teams, along with welfare booths, medical examinations, and health consultations.
After completing the 5km race, Ms. Hoang Thi Bao Ngoc, a worker at Nhat Ban Industrial Park - Hai Phong - shared that for the first time participating in a large-scale program organized by the Hai Phong City Labor Federation, she felt happy, excited and hoped for more practical activities so that workers would have more positive energy in labor and production.
As one of the first people to participate in voluntary blood donation at the festival, Mr. Vu Dang Huu - Chairman of the Yanagawa Seiko Company Trade Union - shared that besides exciting cultural and sports activities, the blood donation program has attracted a large number of union members and workers to respond because of its practical humanitarian meaning. Mr. Huu expressed his wish that the blood units donated today will contribute to bringing life opportunities to patients who need blood transfusions.
At the program, the Hai Phong City Labor Federation presented 20 gifts to workers in difficult circumstances. VSIP Hai Phong Company donated 25 computers to Ly Thuong Kiet High School, and donated funds to support the construction of 2 houses of gratitude, each worth 100 million VND for 2 households in difficult circumstances in Tien Minh and Hung Thang communes.
Bringing the spirit of Workers' Month to each union member
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Quyet - Standing Vice Chairman, Head of the Trade Union Committee of Hai Phong City Labor Federation, Workers' Month - Action Month for Occupational Safety and Health 2026, grassroots trade unions in industrial parks proactively respond with many practical actions: Caring for union members and workers in difficult circumstances; promoting propaganda and emulation for good labor, creative labor, occupational safety and health and building a stable, civilized, and united working environment. In which, Hai Phong Workers' Day 2026 was just organized as a highlight of the series of activities in Workers' Month.
Through activities at the festival, the City Labor Federation hopes that the spirit of Workers' Month will continue to spread to each enterprise, each workshop, each production group, each grassroots trade union; continue to be concretized by practical actions: Caring for union members in difficult circumstances, proactively dialoguing with businesses, paying attention to meals, working hours, occupational safety and health, launching emulation to improve productivity, building a green, clean, and safe working environment.
Responding to that spirit, at the grassroots trade union level, a series of care activities are also being organized, creating a vibrant atmosphere.
At Aurora Vietnam Shoe Industry Co., Ltd. (Thien Huong ward), the Trade Union Meal was just organized in a warm and cohesive atmosphere. More than 4,000 union members enjoyed a meal worth 100,000 VND/portion (4 times higher than the shift meal currently applied at the company).
According to Ms. Dong Thi Phuong - Chairwoman of the Company's Trade Union, in addition to Trade Union Meals, the Company's Trade Union also implements many activities to care for the lives of union members, bringing the joy of Workers' Month to each employee.
